The news of the past 10-12 days has been overwhelming to anyone with even an ounce of compassion for the suffering. I went numb at about day 4 or 5 of the cyclone aftermath and didn't snap out of it until about day 8. It was then some friends and I decided we would do what we could do...make others aware of the problem, keep them informed of updates and suggesting what they can do to help.

China's people are fortunate that their country is growing and has the largest foreign reserves in the world, Myanmar's people are unfortunate in that they are in a country that is one of the poorest financially and poorest governed. Basically we can keep them all in our thoughts, do what we can do with donations, make suggestions to others who might be in a similar position, and just pray for the best.
